Project Set Free
In September 2003, Project Set Free was put in place. A building was designated at Larned, and Freedom Ministries of Kansas Inc. was allowed to begin a program which would change the atmosphere of the prison facility, and the lives of the participants through the anointing of God's spirit and the continual teaching, preaching, and ministry that has developed there.

A miracle from it's inception, Project Set Free has become the epitome of the church doing ministry to help a lost and dying world.

The building was originally designed to house state operated program, but due to budget cuts it was not utilized during the evening hours.

Judy Vonfeldt, a local citizen from the Larned area, followed God's leading in taking the position of coordinator for the Set Free Program.

Project Set Free began as a faith based teaching program using the standards of the gospel to bring life skills training to the facility. Using materials sponsored by Light for the Lost fund, Freedom ministries has been utilizing books from Global University on a daily basis, as well as other materials from Crown Ministries and others.

Volunteers are receiving a great blessing by helping and giving of themselves to those who are so very appreciative.

Project Set Free began with eight volunteers in September 2003 and has now put over 30 volunteers in place to help

The program has grown to five night per week and has had several students with perfect attendance throughout its entire time.

Over 35 students are enrolled in this program now, with an average of 25 in attendance.

Project Set Free is responsible for seeing many souls saved in recent months and many called to the ministry through God's leading and His wonderful Holy Spirit.

Students and volunteers alike are becoming ministers to one another. What a great way for the church to benefit those in need
