Freedom Ministries is proud to team up with the national department of Teen Challenge, to bring this program to Kansas. It utilizes Teen Challenge material, and methods, in the Hutchinson prison facility. As a partnership with Freedom Ministries, it is titled Freedom Challenge.
Rev. Don Starnes, a Kansas missionary, has in the past directed “Teen Challenge of the Midwest”, is the coordinater of the program. His commitment, and drive have helped many.
Teen Challenge (founded by David Wilkerson in 1957) is best known for its Christian based principles and methods. It has seen great success in ministering to people with life-controlling problems

Challenge in 2011:
Jan--On January 28, eight men completed the Freedom Challenge eight-month intensive program at HCF. Another 12 men commited to the eight-month program.
Feb. Volunteers and supporters saw God move after 40 days of prayer, from Jan 22 to Mar 2. Work began on the FC computer system in order to improve the overall operation.
Mar. A Grant was recevied from Bank of the West and a new phase of renovation began.
Apr. The Freedom Challenge Banquet was held at Bethel Life Center. Thanks to who all made it possible
May. --on the 27th four men completed the 8 month program and 14 new ones committed
June--the next phase of renovation began
July-Sep Pastor David Case spoke at the program about unforgiveness and forgiveness. Evangelist Jonathan Wright also spoke about overcoming failure. Another 6 men completed training
Oct-Dec. As work continued on the Living Center, leaders and volunteers urgently prayed to the Lord to help with finances. Praise God for His provision of 30,000 that was met! Many sowed curtains, beds and much more.
